Annie – The Musical
It is December 1933 and America is in the midst of the Great Depression. On the Lower East Side of New York stands a state orphanage for girls that has become a constricting and soul-destroying home for 11-year-old Annie, who was left on the steps of the orphanage at the age of two months with an unsigned note saying simply: “Please take good care of our little darling. Her name is Annie… We have left half of a silver locket around her neck and kept the other half so that when we come back for her you will know that she’s our baby.” One cold morning, as the clock strikes four, Annie wonders what might have happened to her absent parents.
Annie ran at Nöjesteatern from October 2005 until March 2006.
